Site slowness issues

Been having some performance issues lately (worse than usual) but it came to a head today when the site was seriously chugging.

I apologize to all for a frustrating user experience. Akschu, who is on another plane of computer wizardry than I, is helping out. We'll get it sorted out, then onto the nest big task: upgrades.

Thanks for your patience.

Re: Site slowness issues

Found a runaway process, and put some config in to kill it before it clobbers the server. Hopefully things will work better now. Keep us posted on what kind of performance you are getting.

thanks,

Re: Site slowness issues

I still have to re log on about every 10 days. Have not been keeping accurate performance notes. I do not need to do this on any other forums I am fooling with.

Don't worry about it Tim, was just looking for user feedback if anyone wanted to offer any. Helps us build a better site.

Hey....let’s go easy with the old guy gags......though I admit the site kicking me off a couple times a week does force me to remember my password.

Sometimes......

Besides Tim is a youngster.....

Site's been working just fine for me, and I'm about as computer-challenged as anyone.
Only problem is when I click "mark read" button instead of "view options", or commit some other operator error..

They are beholden to my server performance as well.

However, they've pissed me off yet again by hijacking all BCP search results in Google Chrome on Android and marking it as "Tapatalk" with their logo. They are despicable. Their days with BCP are numbered.

I'm not sure on etiquette there but that seems it would even be pretty low down and dirty for a cheap porn site!!!

Working faster here, loading the site still has a bit of a delay but much better than the last month or so. Forum topics load fast once on the site. Thanks for the maintenance boys!
