If you see periodic messages and interstitial pages from Cloudflare, it is usually because the site is experiencing debilitating traffic volumes. Often the source of traffic is bad guys/bot networks who can take down the server by overwhelming it with hits. I use a third party service called Cloudflare to run interference and help filter some of this traffic.

It's not fun for me to spend time fighting this stuff, not fun for you to wonder WTF when you see these weird pages, but these security measures are sometimes necessary.
