Skywagons- Lake Hood - 180 and 185
Technical and practical discussion about specific aircraft types such as Cessna 180, Maule M7, et al. Please read and search carefully before posting, as many popular topics have already been discussed.
With so much talk on here about Skywagon's and who is doing what with them, I figured I would put a thread up with nothing but photos of them.
I am now back in AK for the spring heli ski season and had to do my annual trip around the lake yesterday. Ended up taking photos of just about every aircraft at Hood and Spenard. For me and photo is worth a 1000 words.
Here you go...which one is your favorite? I have several...

Great pictures---really makes me appreciate having a hangar/machine shed at the airport.

Skywagon Central. Thanks for doing this. My wife said "now you know where to go this year". I had to remind her that once it warms up they'll all be "gone to work".

Not many of those are working airplanes. If they were, they'd be working. Most at Hood are privately owned.

All the workers were grounded today due to weather. Here is one of the hard workers...

I wonder how much this one weighs? Anyone have any beta on it. The siding is fiberglass

Does your CAP have a 185? I wonder how often the fly it
