Small plane crashes in remote Clark County, SW WA

Very nice landing with what sounds like minor injuries. The pilots are from Camas I heard. I used to work in this area and the shooting range is a very small hole in large sea of trees. Not extremely remote, but still rugged terrain.

A four-passenger plane crashed near Larch Corrections Center in Yacolt Tuesday morning. Both male occupants survived with non life-threatening injuries. Two male occupants of a plane were treated at the scene for injuries after their plane crash-landed this morning in the Larch Mountain area. The four-seat private plane apparently clipped tree tops as it crash landed in the gravel pit just east of "Four Corners" near Larch Corrections Center. Emergency response personnel from Fire District 3, North Country Emergency Medical Service, East County Fire and Rescue, Camas Fire Department and Clark County Sheriff's Office responded. The two occupants were extricated from the plane, treated at the scene, and transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center. Their injuries didn't appear to be life-threatening, according to a news release from Fire District 3. Firefighters applied foam to the crash site to reduce the hazard of fire from a small fuel leak. The plane came down at about 10:40 a.m. in a site used as a shooting range east of Hockinson, on L1400 Road.

That is one seriously messed up Grumman......Have done accident repair on a couple on the past, but that one is going to take more than just a spar replacement.....

I know exactly where that gravel pit is. Good to see the pilot was able to get it down and make it survivable.
