Small plane kills man jogging.
Debrief, share, and hopefully learn from the mistakes of others.

Strange way to go, that's why I don't jog anymore.

Bummer to see this. Sucks to be the jogger and sucks to be in the owner of that half million dollar Lancair sitting in salt water after making a safe landing and not tearing up the airplane. I guess when it's your time it's your time. It kind of reminds me of the B-52 crash at Fairchild AFB a number of years ago. One of the crewmembers was sick that morning and didn't fly. The BUFF still took him out as he was driving home on the airfield perimeter road. Sad sad sad.. condolences to the family.

Half a century spent proving “it is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”
The B-52's nickname.. stands for Big Ugly Fat Fxxxxx

Man, what are the odds of this happening to either participant?? Really sad on all counts.

Prop came off on an experimental. There is a local guy that this happened to on his experimental. Guy forgot to use safetywire. Another local guy changed the oil in his pickup with new filter. He got the new filter in but forgot the oil. He is happy his pickup did not fly.
Licenced mechanics can make those same mistakes also.

The faster I go , the farther behind I get.
My condolences to all involved.

Baloney is still baloney, no matter how thin you slice it.
Very sad, freak accident! Wonder where the prop ended up??
After the oil leak started he must have kept the engine running until they parted company?
