Re: SMOKE IN BACKCOUNTRY

Visibility in the Hamilton area today was 10 miles or better, smoke not bad. We've been getting rain in the Salmon/ Middle Fork area over the last couple days. The smoke hasn't been bad for a couple weeks. Fire season this year up here was pretty minimal, no TFR's to deal with over most of IDaho.

A few weeks ago, an overnight turned into 3 nights at Chamberlain, woke up in the morning to visibility of less than a mile. Could hear an occasional plane circling overhead, but couldn't see them. Finally flew out in the late afternoon on day of day 4 with visibility of about 4 miles. I was going to post a thread about emergency food, and may still. Just didn't want to hear some of the second guessing from the usual suspect.
