Something I have wondered about the Landis Fork

It looks as if the Landis Fork is a Piper fork off a Cherokee 6 or even a Tripacer. I am sure they use that instead of a 206 fork cus you can opt for a bigger tire (850x6) with the piper. They make a new aluminum block to fit the Cessna nose strut. All good so far.

My question is I wonder why they manufacture a new axle to fit the 600x6 wheel as is on the 206 instead of using the stock 600x6 piper wheel and stock piper axle.

Just wondering.

Landis provides a good product. I have always gone with a 310 or 206 fork because I have never wanted larger than a 600x6 tire up front and it is cheaper. Field approvals are a rip to get though.
