This is a call out to anyone in the mid-atlantic region to check out Soup on Sunday at Campbell Field on the eastern shore of Va this weekend. The weather is supposed to be pretty nice (clear and relatively mild), so it should be a great sunday for it.

If you aren't familiar with Soup on Sunday just take a look at the website (www.campbellfieldairport.com), Gordon is a tremendous host and his field is perfect (all grass). We will be in attendance with two, possibly three, Stinsons from NC and would love to see some more backcountry/tailwheel folks.

If you do decide to go be sure to check the website for any last minute changes (foul wx, etc). Hope to see you out there!

Vick, good luck on the fly-in, I wish Illinois was a little closer to you. Where were the float plane pictures taken that are in your gallery? It looks like my favorite part of the world.

Those are from northern Quebec, up by the Manicouagan, last summer. That was my first exposure to float flying and I loved it, we spent a week dropping into different lakes and catching all sorts of trout. Wish I could do flying like that all the time.

Had to Google up Manicouagan. Looks like another great, sparcely populated Canadian area. Water and trees, my kind of place.
