This wraps up our 2010 Alaska trip. Not much here really. Shows our stops at Chicken, AK; Toad River, BC; and a landing inside a junk yard in ND.

... and, those that pound their guns into plows, will plow for those who don't.
Always like the personal connections along the way with the flyers and the out of the ordinary sights. Blooming flax fields and salvage yards in the mix with the Alaskan/Canadian scenery is just the story of the land and people who live there. Great!

Lynn Sanderson (Dirtstrip) passed away from natural causes in May 2013. He was a great contributor and will be missed dearly.
Hi Patrolguy
Any chance of getting some pics of the Toad River stop. The other Scout belongs to a friend of mine and he was up there working on his trap line on the grayling river. He was makeing a strip on one of the gravel bars at his site. We do a lot of gravel bar playing together around our local area on the Fraser River. It sure would be neat if i could pass along some pictures to him.
Thanks
Ken

I love this video! but cant believe you didnt make the stop in Whitehorse!! see you flew right over Muncho Lake lodge witht he Turbo Otter...the guy crashed his Twin otter on the strip across the street last year. When are you coming back this way? I just landed at Toad but the strip was plowed only 15' wide and 900' long..good times! Keep them videos coming, Cheers, BCT

As soon as you said junk yard in ND I knew it had to be Pete's Tractor Salvage. You pretty much captured ND in a few seconds of video. Farmland, old machinery and plenty of room to fly.
Did you get to talk to the ND Game and Fish pilot? He's a real nice good guy too.
