Re: SPA Takes New Direction

I sure hope this signals a change in direction for SPA. The organization certainly needs a shot of adrenaline, and hopefully, this gent can do just that.

We'll look forward to great things in the future.

Good news. It's a real shame how fractured the float pilot community seems.

It seems like it's the Internet's fault.

Half a century spent proving “it is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”

Re: SPA Takes New Direction

Zane,
Actually there is a lot of truth to that! I know David Quam, the original founder of SPA, I spoke at length last night with him about the whole situation. He is a member of our local EAA chapter and still very much involved with SPA. They had their hands tied due to contractual stipulations with the so called "Dr." and his exploits with SPA monies. His contract officially ends today!(If I remember correctly)
A lot of the issues were repeated over and over on the internet by a few and then it just snowballed from there. Of course, others picked it up and repeated it as theirs. So yes, it is the internets fault! JK of course.
Hopefully this new guy can get back on track to what the SPA was originally intended to be, a voice for the members.

I flew with Steve a few weeks ago. He's a nice guy and I hope he can do some good for the SPA.
