Hi all, The 195 has found a new Home, It's headed back to the South East part of our Great USA!
Deb and I are going to make it a part go Swap Airplanes and a short Honey Moon!! Got a Love Her!!
Anyway, weather permitting, headed out Sunday PM or Monday AM thru Missoula, Bozeman, Cody, and places farther south east to Kansas City. Looking for a place part way there to fill up with Mogas.
Not sure of the trip back, Will be driving a P&W 985 on the return so will be looking for lots of mogas on the return trip. Might head west and come back up on the west side of the rocks.
Hope to see a few of you along the way, at least for a cup of coffee!

Emporia ks [EMP] which is 100 miles southwest of KC has self service mo;gas and over night hangar.

Longmont supposedly still has mogas at the airfield...if you need to RON in my area, I've got plenty of room for you both to stay..I live 5 minutes from Meadowlake.

Kansas City is looking kind of ugly for the next few days!!We might head south on the west side of the rocks and then turn east when we run out of them?
Will be checking the TS's and Tornado's tomorrow.
The other guy might have to come west along the coast until he gets to Texas then head north??
Maybe Guyman OK. might be a place to meet??

When I was looking to fly to Cody to visit friends, I remember a town north of Cody (maybe Powell??) that always had cheap fuel for miles around.

I stopped in Thedford, NE (TIF) last month and they had a self serve pump operating. Office unlocked but no one around. Its a one hangar airport. Also Ainsworth (ANW) has self serve and a decent little FBO. The town there has a festival each year celebrating the fact that they are officially "the middle of nowhere". Also Custer, SD (CUT) if you happen to come up short slightly. They have self serve, but I have found the FBO attended during business hours the few times I've been through, including last month on same trip. Nice part is the runway is usually lined up in the wind when everywhere else isn't. Mt. Rushmore and the Crazy Horse Memorial are both in the immediate area if you need a day's break.

Had to wait on weather this am, late start, doing an end around???? Skipping KC and going to go thru the N side of TX tomorrow to try and miss all the shitty weather in the middle,

BY the way, if anyone has chance to pass by Brewto AL. You should stop, Freddie McCall runs the airport and is just nice,, HANGARED US GOING SOUTH, CREW CAR, INTERNET, INSISTED WE DID NOT NEED TO BUY FUEL, BUT WAS CHEAPEST IN 200 MILES, MADE RESERVATIONS, WE STOPPED AND TOPPED OFF ON THE WAY BACK. OFFERED THE HANGAR AGAIN!
Can't say enough about his hospitality, if a person has a chance, stop by, he just took over the airport 3 years ago., has the Texans from Pensicola up everyday practicing landings, quite fun to watch.

Landed in Goodlund KS. For the evening, lot of rough hammer of hot days today, so going to give Deb a rest for the rest of the day.
Going to go to the local dirt track and watch the dust!!
The French Bushman is doing real well, still trying to figure out how to get it slow enough to stay on the ground when it gets there, sure does like to fly!!!!
Greased it on with a 20 knot quartering wind in Henryetta AR.
Bounced it 20 in the air here!!?? That spring gear sure does!! No wind and HOT!
Sure does use lots of gas??
