Sportsmen STOHL kit wing tip install?
Have you modified your aircraft? STC? STOL Kit? Major rebuild from just a data plate?
I'm finishing up an install of a Sportsmen STOHL kit with my mechanic, and the last piece is the wing tips. Any tips, tricks, advice on installing? The maintenance manual does not say much and neither does the Stene instructions so curious if anyone out there has any insight?

If you haven’t already, call Willie Stene at Stene Aero. He is a super gent, and works hard to support his products.

Did you go with the ones that come in the kit or get the Quasar tips? Either way a quick call to Willie and I think you get what you need.

As stated above, call in to the office, Willie will give you all the necessary info. They should line up pretty well with the wing where the existing wing tips were, but accommodate the new cuff. You’ll have to drill the fiberglass for your existing nut plates (in the wing). Use painters staple and a sharpie to make a template so you can see once you slide the wingtip on. Place the metal doubler/stiffeners on the fiberglass wingtip edges. If you search the web or look at the Stenestol instagram page you can find a picture with the doubler/stiffener metal pieces on the wingtips.
