JULY 4TH SPOT LANDING
PILOT BRIEF
The Leadore (U00) third annual 4th of July EMT fund raiser fly-in is adding a arrival spot
landing contest. Not a STOL competition, just an opportunity to practice precision
landings at 6000 feet elevation on gravel or grass.
In simplest terms, arriving aircraft may choose to touch down at a well marked white
chalk line on the appropriate runway depending on wind conditions. Volunteers will
measure and record the results. Certificates of results will be presented to all
participants.
If interest is sufficient, for a $20 donation to the Leadore EMT’s, pilots may make 4
additional spot landings. 2 power on, and 2 power off. Recognitions will be awarded.
1. Think safety at all times!
2. If something doesn’t seem right speak up.
3. No show boat flying/ steep climb outs.
4. Keep pattern flow working/ watch spacing.
5. Clear runway after landing for next plane.
6. Landing mains on or after line is good.
7. Tailwheel does not count.
8. Touching mains before line is a disqualification.
HAVE FUN BE SAFE!
