Spot Not Acurate

I finally read the fine print in the Spot user guide and found out why spot is not accurate when in my 1956 182. It has a few secret speed mods.

• If you exceed 700 mph (Mach 1) GPS accuracy degrades

Re: Spot Not Acurate

Pretty much all GPS's (the more elaborate ones in jets not so) degrade by regulation over 700mph. It is an attempt to make things like SCUD missiles not actually hit something by adding GPS guidance. They pretty much can't hit anything with the standard, I guess, pigeon based guidance.

In Kenya we had a joke during the Gulf war. It was about Matatus (little crappy overloaded minibuses). What'a the difference between a Matatu and a SCUD missile? Mutatus kill people.
