Yes, it is tandem! Inverted flight carb, fuel tanks, and oil too. Great for touring also.

Email dates you are considering... :D

Hi Timbo,

Your Dollar is strong here! There are Aussie everywhere in Hawaii shopping, surfing etc... The bargain vacation!

I will hopefully be getting to QLD soon and calling you Mate! Your airport is very cool! We love the area!

Cape Byron reminds me of Santa Barbra. It even has Al Merick Surfboards for sale (Slater's shaper).

Fly strong Mate!

Starduster Too! Brings back memories...I have lots of time in one with an IO-470 and fixed pitch wooden prop. It was a beast, but oh so much fun.

Been in Kauai the last week. Somebody is hopping rides with an old red Stearman, but apart from that I'm not seeing airplanes. The couple of airports are dead except for tourist hops. Hope your island is more fun.

GA on Kauai is very scarce. Most GA is still at PHNL South Ramp.

Trivia...

Where did you stay? Done a few SARs around Kauai and Niihau. Sailed to Barking Sands from Honolulu and returned (259 NM). My friend ditched an RV8 in front of Lihue Harbor and was picked up by the Coast Guard.

Harrison Ford and I were in line to get AvGas a while ago when he was flying a bi-plane around Lihue. My wife recognized him, I thought he was just some guy in a leather jacket. He also had a G4.

Aloha!

Aloha. Stayed in Kapa'a. Mostly hiked and snorkelled (wife's 'get fit' plan for me). Took a couple of side trips to Barking Sands for the entertainment value of watching 4x4's getting stuck in the sand.

I heard Harrison brought his own 206 out to fly around while the movie was filmed. Also that he did all the wheel flying of the Beaver himself - Corky did the float stuff.

Ford brought out a 206 and a G4 ! I flew in the pattern, in my 172, while he was flying the bi-plane doing touch and goes. The due is for real.

Stayed in Kapa'a several times too. Watch out for the currents there, we have lost several swimmers in that area. Literally lost, never seen again.

I leave to L.A. on Monday for business. Give me a PM if you return. I am mostly in Kona or Honolulu.
