Static System rebuild - push on fittings

Do any of you guys know of the legality of using these push on fittings for the static system in a Cessna? They seem to be all the rage in the experimental community versus using Nyloseal.

Those are all shark fittings. Amazing at your house you can connect copper to PVC and if the od is right they don't leak. I would be curious if they are legal for use in certified aircraft but I would wager no.

I’ve considered using those fittings from SteinAir. My radio man told me I could probably get away with it, but advised against it as he wants to do it right the first time.

Install the damn things. They are awesome. No one will get their panties in a ruffle. You can basically use whatever you want as long as the system will pass the proof test as stated in Sec.23.1325

Agreed... my avionics shop didn't care as long as they didn't leak, and they don't.

Re: Static System rebuild - push on fittings

When I replaced my entire pitot/static system a couple years ago I used all push in type fittings and nylon tubing throughout from stein air. Easy to work with, cut, route and install. I’d do it again in a heartbeat. I believe some new certified aircraft are coming from the factory this way.
