Stewart Systems workshop in the Portland, OR area

In order to get the workshop guy here we need minimum 10 people to attend. As far as I know, the workshop costs $400 a head and includes all the supplies for practice work. We're shooting for first or second week of April. Not sure of the exact location.

If you can commit to something like this, PM your email address (or email zane@backcountrypilot) and I will forward it on to the guy. Also, spread the word if you can.

Thanks.

Here's what a guy on sc.org reported:

The instructional course on fabric covering was a sucess. Mark Williams from RESTORED RUNWAY CLASSICS arrived a day early to set up for the 10 students.
He spent 3 full days with us taking us from the first steps to the final coat.
The system is very nice to work with and we only needed a mask for the spray coats.
There was a lot to learn as well as little tricks that Mark taught us.
The attendees ranged from the west coast to the east coast as well as Canada.
Everyone enjoyed the course and felt it was well worth the time. Even a couple of experienced guys said they learned something.
I would highly recommend to host a course for others around the country.
You cannot learn this much from sitting in at sun n fun or oshkosh.
Now I feel confident to learn on my cub.

Watched the videos and would definitely like to see the real thing. It is kind of short notice for us guys and girls being out of town.

I do appreciate the offer :D

You're the second person to express any interest.

Wow. How sad.

I am interested when or if it comes about again and there are enough people to warrant a class. I can't do the second weekend April unfortunately so I might have missed this one anyways. The significant other loves Portland so I have a pretty good kitchen pass for most any other time...

It's the timing that's bad.... Even though I am pretty confident using Stewart System I too would like to sit on a class sometime... Mainly to pick up any techniques that can make my work better... Unfortunaly, this one is just not at the right time for it to be feasible for me to attend and I am sure that the short notice also has a lot of others that could attend not being able too...

I think it's safe to say it won't be happening in April for lack of interest at current time. Perhaps if enough people can commit we can get a date scheduled for later.
