Finally there is a way to stop every Karen out there from getting your personal data by just searching your N number

Request to Withhold Aircraft Ownership Data

The FAA is establishing a process that allows private aircraft owners to request that their personal data (e.g. name and address) be withheld from public dissemination, in compliance with 49 U.S.C. § 44114(b)

I enjoy stalking aircraft owners when I want to propose buying their plane though.

But yeah, it’s an otherwise odd lack of privacy for owners.

While I browse the FAA site on occasion to see mostly, where the aircraft is from, I also feel it is an invasion of privacy. Why is it perfectly fine for stalker Joe to find out who owns a plane via the N-number, why can't I look up some's license plate to see who owns a vehicle? Double standards as far as I am concerned. Not sure how the heck it was ever allowed, but I can bet any amount of money that if it were possible to do on vehicles, there would be utter chaos across the country claiming privacy concerns.

Good news, at last. It’s a bit of a gauntlet, but I got it done in half an hour. :) There was never a good reason for allowing public access to this personal information, IMO.

Thanks to 93K for posting this.

I'm annoyed that the FAA knows who owns airplanes but I'm a bit of an anarchist I guess.

Requested it, they should also remove the Aircraft S/N off as well IMO. I’m surprised it has been like this from the start of the FAA website. vehicle license plate information and VIN numbers are not plastered freely over the internet. ADSB being not as secure as people think, I can see landing fees going to the wrong owner.
