Stromberg Mixture & Secrets of Operation

In a previous thread (High Alt. Ops w/A-65 Non-adj Carb..) there was discussion about the Stromberg mixture control. Neal F. Wright wrote an article titled, "The Stromberg Mixture Control on the C-85 and C-90, Truths and Tales" which I found both informative and consistent with what I've personally experienced with the A65 Taylorcraft BC12D. The article can be found (today, anyway) here: http://www.bowersflybaby.com/tech/strom ... ecrets.pdf. And I'll see if I can upload it here too (seems it should work...).

Re: Stromberg Mixture & Secrets of Operation

I had my Stromberg rebuilt for my PA-11 by the neighbor of the "Stromberg Specialist" because I work with him. As I understand it, the stromberg specialist isn't doing carbs anymore, but I got the feeling that my coworker may be taking over. If anyone would like, I can reach out and see if he is still doing carbs for folks. Mine came back looking as good or better than the rest of the restoration. I did have the mixture lever added per his advice.
