Stubborn exhaust stains

Hey guys,

Spent several hours the other day scrubbing the belly of my 206, I have to run it pretty fat to keep CHTs down so it was quite the job and perhaps a bit overdue.

That said, I got all the oil and soot off, but theres this brown stain left that seems a bit more embedded and Belly Soap and 100LL don't seem to be touching it. I'm worried I'm going to start scrubbing the paint off.

Is there a trick?

Hotter n hell degreaser. Spray it on, let it soak a bit, a light scrub and it comes off. Works wonders on the exhaust stains on our air tractors. Best degreaser I've found so far.

Oil Eater will usually take that off. Wet down the area, then spray a 50/50 Oil Eater/water mix on and wait a few min. Rinse it off and scrub any remaining stuff with rag/Oil Eater, do not let it dry, rinse with water until clean.

Non-toxic is citrus based Budda Belly. I buy by the gallon on Amazon. Swear by it.

Re: Stubborn exhaust stains

Marines use Carbon X to wipe down the exhaust on the Presidents helicopters. Although important to note, they are wiping down every day after the last flight of the day.

Non pumice gojo, slob it on, let it work its magic, rub off

Read the label on it, not bad for the plane or ramp ether

Do NOT use stuff like purple power
