Super Cub Fly-In

Just reporting in that Cubscout and I made it to the Super Cub Fly-In at Johnson Creek. Has to be over 100 planes here. If anyone is here we are about 5 planes North of the maintenance shed. Camped along the creek.

If you don't mind, I'll look for the white and orange plane and stop by. I'll be driving up and hanging out with JoeCub, his wife Red and Coyote Ugly.

I was down in Caldwell most of the day and tell it was an awesome looking day up to the northeast towards JC.

He's not in his plane, he's with Cubscout in his Cub. Bw's plane is still waiting on an engine back here in C-Springs...I'm sitting it in making airplane noises for him while he's gone.

Re: Super Cub Fly-In

What a great weekend at Johnson Creek. We have only had 2 brief showers so far. Over 100 planes counted last night. Not sure about today. Cubscout and I are hoping to make it out Sunday morning. The Cub Crafters dinner was awesome. Tons of sponsor's items were raffled off. The 31" Alaskan Bushwheels were won by a guy with a Tri-Pacer out of Utah. We were sitting around the campfire last night talking about a tailwheel conversion. Maybe this will help him make the transition sooner. :D

Oh, by the way. That is Blu's Carbon Cub sitting in front of the webcam. Raint from Holland used it for a pretty entertaining presentation about growing up in his country and his exposure to them.

Cubscout and I departed Johnson Creek this morning heading back to Colorado. What an awesome fly-in. We definitely scored some great weather. Hope the BCP fly-in is as lucky. You guys enjoy JC. It is a beautiful strip.

Guy's name is Rick, he's on the SWPO site I'm on. He ended up selling them to a Super Cub guy.
