My 2 cents... Give the guy a break, he's an awesome pilot... With an awesome plane.

Some time ago I thought that the lack of use was the excuse for shutting these strips down, now it's over use?

Something is making me think the bureaucrats that run these "public lands" just don't want air traffic at all.

Here's a deep thought, are you ready?
The lightest footprint is the one not left.
I have told people something simlar in the past, when they were griping about too many people hiking etc in "their" mountains--"if you stay home, that'll be one less".

I have noticed that as I have been slowing my business down so I can do more fun stuff, I notice that more stuff keeps coming up to get in the way of fun stuff. Looks like I will be the "one less" this summer as my kids are bringing their kids to the ranch for most of the summer. Well trhat is also fun. May get to Idaho in Sept if lucky.

Be safe flying and have a good time.

im with coyote on this one for sure, dont even know the man that tipped over, and i agree...the old owner of lower loon was the cool j.r. simplot, and he with the new owners really do like a little traffic and are nice as hell...

if L.L. intimidates you a little as it should, have a local show u the ropes...

one idea along those lines is a little talked about cfi, holbrook maslen who works out of mccall. he used to live in yellowpine, and has the more technical strips wired...just a thought. see u all in a few days wx permitting!
