It's not like similar conversations are unheard of in the workplace, I suppose they were just unlucky enough to get caught.

I know we are always double checking the mobile radio in the engine at work.....

If I were that guy, I would never again drink coffee brought forward by ANY flight attendant. I'm thinking thermos (less than 8 fluid oz, of course) for that boy from now on.

Nope, wasn't us either. [-X  Love it. My wife was a stew for United when they had standards.

God, I wish I had a pic of my ex wife in her IHOP resturant uniform from 30 some years ago, I can't drive by one them without seeing her in that geeky get up, but still looking good! Good one Sub guy.

Re: SW Airlines Open Mike

The 30 to 40 year ago IHOP girls were really cute.

The best stews were the PSA girls. Now you know why the 727s that they flew had a smile. I remember back in the late 60's, I always traveled in uniform. Those girls just went out of their way to keep your glass full.

Loved those mini skirts. If you get a smile from a stew now you don't brag about it. May I add that this is a prime example of where political correctness has gotten us.

Re: SW Airlines Open Mike

Good Picture,

But the smiling aircraft is an L-1011. My wife was hired at age 19 as a stewardess.....back when one had to be single, young, female and attractive. She still is a living doll. Yes...I remember the days of mini-skirts, go go boots and bra less pull overs. Layovers were lots of fun back then.

Memories....keep me warm at night.

Usually sixteen beauties every flight and they take it as a compliment when you tell them they look good [female that is :)]

Good thing I never had a cockpit conversation recorded off an open mike. Bet most of us here have to say the same...

I had it happen while on duty as a paramedic in an ambulance. Fortunately for me it was my partner talking at length about his problems with his wife while I listened quietly. I was really glad that it hadn't happened a few min earlier when I was yakking away.

Re: SW Airlines Open Mike

A long time ago, when I was a very young air traffic controller our radar was unavailable at night and a BAC111 had an airmiss with a fighter crossing the airway with no clearance. I was a bit too quick on the transmit switch and a couple of words went out accidentally. IIRC the paperwork concerning my swearing on the freq. outweighed that for the airmiss by a factor of ten.

Caledonian had the best stews back then, and like true Scots there was nothing worn under the kilt!! :D
