Greetings everyone:
Our wonderful 56 backcountry/STOL 182 is gone and 2001 T206H will be in hangar (hopefully) end of week. Wanted cargo doors to carry our electric mountain bikes and found a great partner. Old, fat and cripple- found out these mountain ebikes are pretty cool and getting back in the game.
Anybody know of active 206 forum or better yet, 206H (Lycoming) model forums? Over the last four decades, I've been a member of most of the Cessna orgs. Owned 210s for 36 yrs: but, after test flying 206- I don't know what I don't know and looking for a quicker/cheaper way to learn besides making all the mistakes myself.
Our T206H will lose wheel pants, get a tail skid and burn lots of gas before Gamis. Then AirGlas etc as needed. She'll eventually fly into the tamer off field strips: ID, AR and mountain west.
Thanks
Jack

But also keep in mind that it's Facebook, and it sucks.

Half a century spent proving “it is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”
Facebook is lame, I say we make this the place for 206 guys to hang out.

And yet I see that there's a backcountrypilot.org FB page, which you post on.
Why the hate? It's just another venue, for information exchange and/or entertainment.
Just like the internet.

Cessna Skywagon -- accept no substitute!
No FB works for me; maybe I'll use wife's FB and ask 206 owners to come to BCP where they should be. Cessna Pilots Association was a great 210 info forum through the mid 90s and 2000s; then, John Frank died and family dropped the ball. CPA is still running but not the same. BCP still best forum, ever. I would like to get 206H specific info as H is indeed different as well as heavier and Lyc engine. But, I think she's really going to be a fun one and hopefully will have her in my hangar this weekend with insurance check outs early next week. Wife and just watched a youtube tutorial on G500 system; Amazing to this old, fat & cripple guy what this new shit will do.
