Taildragger Solo

I finished the insurance checkout in the Citabria 7KCAB today and then took it up solo around the pattern for a bit. I'm pretty excited that I know have a taildragger I can rent and go have fun. A big thanks to Clint for taking care of me in the checkout, HiCountry for stopping by to visit, and to Bmurrish for hooking me up with Clint and coming out to watch a few times!

If you want to go up, pull back on the controls. If you want to go down, pull back farther.

One piece of advice Tadpole, don't let your grin get too big because I have found it narrows your field of vision!

Have fun! =D>

I did have one HUGE grin on my first trip around the pattern. I laughed at how much more it climbed solo...just like when I first did my solo as a student a few years ago in the Cessna

MountainMatt, probably more like a private sandbox for Tadpole to play in, to keep the rest of us safe

Sooner the better, looks like I'm going to be grounded for several months here soon, I should know more by the end of the week.

Watch out, just when you think you have them by the tail they turn around and slap you. Taildraggers that is.

Half a century spent proving “it is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”

Tadpole, school up on what Zed Said.

Other than that, SCORECARDS! We need Scorecards. Especially the one from that crusty German Democratic Republic judge, Herr Schmidt! :!: :D

Tadpole, Congrats buddy!

Enjoy it, but never let your guard down. I scared myself Saturday night in mine, cuz I let me feet get lazy and eyes drift down from the end of the runway.  =D>
