I have a Bose A20 headset that is not blue tooth. My cell phone is a Galaxy S9. Both devices have a 3.5 mm jacks. I bought an audio cable and connected the two. I thought by doing this I could talk on the phone through the headset. Not so. Maybe I am doing something wrong.
