TC Recommendation M5-180C

TC Recommendation M5-180C

Looking for a replacement turn coordinator, the old one (Astronautics TC-M A) is obsolete and no longer supported. Has anyone done this with a 1986 or similar vintage Maule? Hoping for a "plug n play" option that won't require wiring changes. Does any change of model require paperwork, or weight & balance adjustments?

The Maule Air Inc OEL shows several models to choose from, but the ones I've checked also seem to be hard to find new:
