Re: TCP FUEL ADDITIVE

Any downside of using it besides its chemical dangers to humans?

i.e. Fuel bladders, gaskets etc...?

Re: TCP FUEL ADDITIVE

I have used it in my 180 with pponk 470 as it tends to have lead buildup due to being operated high and cool for most of the flying we do. After a year the valves/heads seem to have improved. No fuel issues

What color of buildups did you mainly have and went down?

Re: TCP FUEL ADDITIVE

First question you should ask: "Is TCP an approved fuel additive by the manufacturer?"

Second question you should ask, if it's not: Don't "advertise" on social media.

If you mean approved by Continental I don't think they have done its testing.
The product is advertised as FAA approved for specific non-turbocharged Lyc. Cont. and Franklin engines.
