We knew it was going to be a good day, when we landed at Troutdale, there was a DC-7 (which had 4 round engines) working as a firebomber for the fires near Hood River. There were 2 DC-7's coming and going, doing 180's on the runway, I assume because they were too heavy for the taxiway's. Those 4 round engines sure sound good :!:

It was sad to see the 4 engines pulled off the B-17. Who knows, maybe they'll get fixed.

Had a great lunch with Zane and Rob.

The museum is staffed by volunteers only open Fri., Sat., Sun from 10 - 2.
