News release:

The Helio Gathering and Conference:
May 16-18, 2008 Wittman Regional Airport
Oshkosh, WI

The Legendary C/STOL Helio Courier/ Super Courier and Stallion return to Oshkosh for a special 2 day event honoring one of General Aviation's most extraordinary inventions. The Helio line of STOL airplanes have flown from virtually ever corner of the globe and are currently the only FAA certified airplanes that are stall-proof and spin-proof. Meet the pilots and enthusiasts from across the country who fly them, plus we will have on hand for the first time U.S Air Force pilots who also flew them in clandestine operations in South East Asia. Special Warfare and Air America.
Hear their accounts of dangerous missions flown in hostile territory not often discussed, and share the disclosure of mystery surrounding them through photographic representation.
There will be Helio's in attendance, STOL demo's, Young Eagle rides, food, and a fun filled weekend honoring our Veteran's for Armed Forces Day.
In addition, we will be having a symposium both days to discuss the future of Helio Aircraft and the aging aircraft syndrome that has plagued the airplane since it last rolled off the assembly line in1984, and as parts become more scarce, operators will need to know what issues they face to keep their Helio flying. This will be a precendented event and you are encouraged to attend. The event will take place on the Orion Flight Services ramp at Wittman Field, all days from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Fly-in or drive in you do not have to own a Helio to attend. All aircraft are welcome.
For hangar accomodations, hotel and motel, and travel to and from the EAA AirVenture museum please let us know by contacting us the following ways.
