I would love to get my lines buried but, I can't even imagine the cost involved. It cost me $600 just to install the balls. Any ideas on getting it done on there penny. I'm sure it varies state by state. I'm in West Virginia. Yea I know it's hard to believe we even have electricity but we do

George,
That is great news! Now how do I get my money back for my power-line?

One of the most critical ways the RAF has helped further recreational aviation is through the advocacy for and passage of state-level recreational use statutes or RUS. This year two more states (MN and VT) passed RUS legislation and WA amended their statute to specifically include aviation. This opens the door for private land owners to welcome public use aviation activity by protecting them from the liability. RAF liaisons have efforts underway in 8 other state. We encourage our members to see if their state has an RUS on the books or in the works.

I think when they looked, if someone hit the lines, it was on there tab not mine!!

I do believe this is what finally led them to burying of the lines?
Also I took to them the first easement that was granted to then in 1912 and it had some wording in it that gave me some grounds to convince them.

Go find the guy that is in charge of your area maintenance of your power line! Take him for a ride! Show him where the power lines are! =D>
Not just the guy in the office of the local power company! [-X

Pretty amazing, the quote I have from 4 years ago was $31,000 they had to install 2 vaults and bore under the paved county road. Now it's just 2 poles an anchor and plow the 3 cables in?? #-o

Good luck

Now you don't have any "Balls". I guess that's good in this case.
