This just in...Maule news.

"Maule" is spelled with an "E" at the end.

That is all. Don't make me rat you out to Ray or Rautgunde.

What?? Next they are going to tell me there is a "b" at the end of cub!

ZANE!! Here you have a "backcountry" site and what avatar image do you sport? The 170 on itty bitty tires departing on pavement... :?

At least put some 8.50x6's on and use the grass alongside, you have an image to uphold! What will the newbies think? "Why this is just like Airliners.net and we can post pictures of 777's landing at LAX or discuss how much faster we can make that old Model 20 Mooney..." Or "wow, my new G3 Cirrus gets me to Sedona much faster than my old Trinidad and so on..."

I thought it was a picture of someone holding up the tail so it looked like a wheel landing

That's why the picture is cropped like that. The tail's up on a sawhorse, and Zane's sitting inside, in the pilot's seat, making, "Vroom, Vroom" airplane noises.

I've almost got an X-Plane based flight sim cockpit built into the cockpit of my real 170! I pay a local kid to make the vrooom sounds and shake the plane when it's bumpy. Here's a good one of me simulating a grass landing....

Who has Photoshop skills....???? :) I do!

OK, grass takeoff. Don't question the photoshopping.

I can't have Zane feeling bad about himself, so I'm going to help him out a bit...

Okay that's better! I still don't know about the pavement in the background but things are becoming more acceptable.

You know Zane, do ya' think you're Dad would would spring for a set of Bushwheels if you painted CHIEF AIRCRAFT SUPPLIES on the sidewalls? Billboard advertising on a worldwide website - they could write it off...

Damn, look how those digitally altered bushwheels absorb the irregular surface of the digitally altered grass!

Re: Chief sidewalls... that's like building a billboard inside a warehouse. :P

Wow, I like the digitally enhanced thing. It brings Hangar flying to a new level. Does Wup sell digitally altered bush wheels? Hey Wup, this could open a whole new market for you.

While you're at it maybe you photoshop guys could do something about his angle angle of attack. You know, maybe put him in a proper 3 point attitude. ;)
