Thought it was time for a new thread..... Finally got to fly

Been remodeling my house in preperation for my geting married and that really put the whammy on my flying. Between being broke and not having time w/ all the working and helping with wedding stuff flying took a back seat for about 6 months. Holy crap that was not cool. But now i'm married and my house is finished and i got to spend some time in the air last weekend. Just flew around the local area and it was like i steped out of the airplane a new person. It's amazing how much of your life flying can affect. I didn't realize how irritable having poor 5555C sitting around waiting for some attention made me. And despite leaving her all that time then returning to bounce her down the runway like a student, i could tell she was still happy to take me back. I still think maybe i should've taken my ring off when i flew to avoid insulting her but my wife wouldn't stand for it. :)

Dusty,

Your in too deep now. You might as well stop renting the boat and go for the TURKEY.

Safety First

You should take off your ring before you fly so that, if you need to get out in an emergency, it doesn't catch on anything and rip your finger off.

Six months is a long time. I was irritable as heck when the annual inspection took the whole month of April out of my flying. But there sure is something happy in the sound of an engine that works fine but hasn't run in some time.
