Thunderstorms today, a casual look at the weather

Summer is nearing and there are thunderstorms from Panama to Alaska. :shock:

Yeah, looked on my way home from Museum of Flight and looked to be towering cumulus both in the Olympics and along the Cascades. Probably be dodgy going either way, but direct N or S looks clear. Big bumps in the ground usually will produce big bumps in the air if there is enough moisture and lift.

Yep. Orographic lifting looks like a factor, most convection is in the mountains from what we see here.
