Hey all
So with all my moving I have clothes now for Miami and clothes for 0f, my in between “mud season” stuff is AWOL of retired
Looking for a good weatherproof jacket, daily wear, not super loud material (like don’t was people to hear me “shhzz shzzz” as I walk), no elastic on the cuffs, and doesn’t look like I’m trying to join SWAT or a Everest expedition
Any good recommends?
Thanks!

Most any waterproof jacket is going to make noise unless you want to look like a tree get a camo hunting jacket they make quiet ones. I usually layer A Grundens raincoat over Carhartt or Wool jacket. For flying I like wool cotton. For dirty work cotton. for staying warm after work is done wool, fleece, down. In spring and fall a Carhartt Jacket and water proof shell is usually my go to mix. DENNY

Might have a look at Kuiu. Has hunting roots so it's quiet, but available in non-camo colors if you prefer. I'm pleased with the weatherproofness after a combined month and several hundred miles stomping around Adak Island in late fall/ early winter. And mud? Oh heck yeah. Guide DCS jacket, Attack pants would be a good start.

*combined month. (actually upwards of that now that I think about it.) Meaning multiple week-long visits- except for those that extended because Alaska Airlines couldn't get a 737 in or out.

I agree with MTV. I spent a week along the Dalton Highway hunting. Been wearing Kuiu for a couple of years now. DCS guide jacket and Attack pants were perfect. I layered it with their DCS vest. Lots of good colors other than camo. Was warm and dry throughout. Check out their mid layer gloves as well.

I third the Attack pants. I practically wear those year round in AK. The side zips keep me cool in the summer, and in the winter I layer it with long johns and wear them down to quite cold temps.
