A neighbor, right down the road a mile or so, who flys, among other aircraft, a 300 horse Pitts. I helped out, and did it for free....then backtracked and mentioned how a ride in the Pitts would be adequate compensation. We're talking 300 horse power in a maybe 1,000 lb plane, oh yeah that will be more then adequate! Too much weight too far out is why it tipped, no mystery, and no injuries so we all had a pretty good time what with all the equipment to play with. A D-6, a big rubber tired loader, big trac hoe, and my crane. NO media coverage, so I guess it didn't really happen.
The Pitts is down for recover, at the factory in Afton. ONLY 34 k for a full recover, by the same guy who did it when new 20 years ago.

Almost what I have in my entire plane!
