three day weekend coming up, and I can either spend the whole weekend in the woods deer hunting, or put some hours on the bird and go out of state. i'm in the OKC area. any suggestions on where to fly from here this time of year?

I can't seem to figure out a destination for some reason. i would love to head west toward NM or UT, but figured it may be too late in the year for that. also considering MI to visit a friend.

Hunting season only comes once a year.

Oh man, I've been wondering the same thing this fall. I've been trying to figure out how to do both in the same day - fly in to some strip somewhere with your shotgun and a dog and spend the day bird hunting. How much better would it get than that??

Anyone know where to do this in the southern California region? It doesn't seem like there are any bird hunting or backcountry opportunities at all here at all, but there are a few, I've found / I think. I'm looking for chukar or other upland bird hunting, if anyone has any ideas...

Have you considered standing under a cold shower tearing up hundred dollar bills? Just kidding. It's been years since I did any pheasant hunting. Can one still fly into South Dakota this time of year?
