I am looking for opinions from those of you who have been to BOTH Tokette State and Mc Kenzie.
Which strip do you prefer to go to for the day or camp? Why? How far of a hike are the closest rivers from both? Has anyone hiked or mountain biked to Toketee Falls?
Thanks!

I prefer McKenzie Bridge for camping and mountain biking.
One of the best mountain biking trails you'll find anywhere runs along the McKenzie river. It's easy to get to: just cross the two-lane highway from behind the tie down/camping area and join the road that's just slightly to the east on the other side of the main road. Follow that smaller road for about a mile to get to the river and trail. The other option is to walk/ride along the highway to the camp ground, but it's not as nice to go that way.
I've flown into Toketee several times, but haven't hiked around there much. I think it's a bit of a hike from there to the falls. There's a road nearby, so I think the best option is to bring a bike and ride to the trail head that takes you to the falls. It's on my list of things to do, for sure.
Toketee is elk central, and not enough people fly in there to clue the elk in, so keep an eye out for them. The strip is really long, so you can land long to avoid having to taxi too far on the usually rather rough runway.

Toketee is much more off the beaten path and secluded. There is a picnic table off the south side of the west end of the runway and a little creek a short walk to the south of that. You won't have to worry about motor homes carrying rat dogs wearing sweaters and running generators for the lights to play bridge ruining your wilderness experience. It is difficult to find by ground vehicle.
If you are well versed in map and compass the exploring is top notch. The best hiking is on the upper N. Umpquaw ( above Lomolo lake) but too far to walk from the airstrip.
I have only driven to Mckenzey and that was about 10 years ago but lots of people there sticks in my mind.
You can tell I don't like crowds.
