Tonasket Father's Day Fly-In

Well, it's getting to be that time of year again for us Northwesterners.
The Tonasket (W01) (North central WA) Father's Day Fly-In weekend is coming up June 15&16. They have a pancake breakfast Saturday morning, steak dinner in the afternoon and I think breakfast again Sunday morning. Camping on site, or better yet, you are welcome to camp at my place 6 miles East North East of Tonasket, Fowler Field (02WN). We have a 1500' dirt strip at 2150' elevation with many spots where you can park your plane, set up camp right there and view the East side of the Cascade mountains. No charge, just remember that 1500 feet is short for some planes, lets not have any bent metal, or worse.
Here is a link to info on the place. Note there is a link on there to a live cam.

If you can, let me know if you plan to camp there and I will give you more details on available spots, though it should be pretty obvious.
The Tonasket people are looking for volunteers to give airplane rides to kids Saturday, they supply the Avgas, just show up. You must have proof of insurance to fly kids.
We look forward to seeing you there...........

Re: Tonasket Fathers-day Flyin

Only two weeks out now. The weather has been real crappy in the Northwest for a while, so if we can rely on the law of averages it should be nice by then......

Excellent! I hope the weather holds out. I'm Planing to bring the Super Cub, with a opposed engine, as "opposed" to a round one.
I believe the Super cub fly-in at Johnson creek ID is next weekend also, so shat is quite a bit of competition, but we will have a good time without them.........Ron

Re: Tonasket Father's Day Fly-In

The weather nurds are suggesting that it is going to be a nice weekend. I know of 4 planes that are planing to camp with us at 02WN (Fowler Field), and maybe a couple drive ups..........

Re: Tonasket Father's Day Fly-In

Thanks to all who participated in fact and in spirit. A good time was had by all, except for some motorcycle exhaust burns all is well.
We did miss those that were with us only in spirit, but maybe next time.
George and crew, you were the hit of our party.........
