Topo's with airport locations etc.

For those not aware (I know I didn't know about the browse functions) you can now browse the topozone site and specify airports and I think you'll be amazed at the list of airports / airstrips you can map.

http://www.topozone.com/

Go to view maps, pick state, select Browse by place type (airport).
Select the airport/airstrip you'd like to see the TOPO of.

For instance, http://www.topozone.com/map.asp?lon=-11 ... at=36.8069 = The Chicken Strip...

Enjoy !

PS. for those that already knew this was available,,, just ignore ;-)

Also look at http://skyvector.com

This site not only offers sectional charts of the whole country, but if you hover your mouse cursor over an airport with weather reporting, it'll show you the metar.

Someone made me the gift of a Washington "Atlas and Gazeteer" for Xmas. I was disappointed that very few or no backcountry airstrips are shown. Don't know about the gazeteers for other states.
