Re: Trade show PIREP?

Yeah, great show this year. Good venue. Nice representation by Aviat. The raffle cub was cool. Static display area was nice, and the National Guard had a great presence. Airframes Alaska has a beautiful new factory and the retail area felt like REI for airplane parts. The Palmer winds didn't disappoint as we departed into 30 mph winds quartering from Knik Glacier. Saw tons of friends we hadn't seen for over a year. If the price of aviation doesn't squeeze people out, the future seemed bright. But speaking with the folks at BWI, it didn't seem promising that insurance rates would ever come down.

The Textron guys were cool and had flown up a new 206. Their price for a new one is $750k. It's a nice plane for sure, but I really prefer the legacy models before they squared off the glare shield. I appreciate the effort that many companies made to be there. Conspicuously absent was Airglas.

Lol. Don't forget, that one had Air Conditioning so it was $869k. Interior was nicer than most cars though. Had fun playing in the DC-3's. That Enstrom helicopter giving rides all day crashed in a field later that night! Not sure what happened, fortunately it wasn't conducting rides for the show at the time.
