We are finishing up a Trio install in a '61 185 and are having a heck of a time getting the gains set so the airplane isn't all over gods creation. I have read several posts that this particular AP takes some time to get dialed in right, so for anyone that has this in a SkyWagon, would you mind sharing some of your gain settings? Have spoken with Trio and STC group several times and haven't found much in the way of progress.

Along the same lines, this install was actually pretty easy for anyone that has been considering it. Bendix/King (TruTrak) doesn't seem to care about their AeroCruze as they are have been quite difficult to find for a while and the big G's offering is both expensive and requires other Garmin equipment to drive it; something some of us are not too keen on. So the Trio seems to be the option for us at this time. STC group just got PFD interfaces approved, so the AP will follow either your GPS or an altitude/heading bug. The customer support from both Trio and STC group is incredible. They pick up the phone, answer emails quickly and will take time to work through problems with you. Cannot say enough good things about the people behind these products.

HNAV 28, VNAV 18, TRK 3, CRS 3, PI 9

My CRS is sloppier than Hnav. Vnav is pretty good.
