Trip planning help - the spring thaw

Greetings,
Sorry to sully up a backcountry forum with a non backcountry question but hoping a get a few suggestions. I need to fly an old tail dragger from the middle of eastern Washington to Willmar Municipal (KBDH) in Minnesota to have a fuel tank resealed. And back, of course.

Not sure exactly when I'll be going but the goal is to make the trip as early in the flying season as possible. I'll be padding my time and quite willing to wait out weather as needed.

I'm looking for airports that I can use as waypoints where they will tolerate camping under my wing. I would love some lesser known runways, cool places, etc. Nothing short or hairy please, it's not my plane and it's not a bush plane (it's a BT-13).

Thanks
