Talked to a friend the other day and he said that he flew over Tuweep and that the X's were removed from the runway. Anybody have any news.

I still read the AZ Pilots newsletter (where I was before moving here) and as of September they had no new news, other than they were still working on getting the lease.

I flew Arv up to Chapman Ranch this morning, and forgot to ask him about the status of the Tuweep strip. I will give him a call and see if I can find any more info.

I talked to Arv this weekend, and he says that they are making progress trying to get Tuweep back open. He said that he was going to sit down and write a letter about the process that has been going on and send it out to anyone that has donated to get this strip open again. As soon as I get my hands on a copy, I will post it here.
