TX - Williams AZ - Grand Canyon - Truckee
Get together with other pilots or enthusiasts. Plan it or get info about it here.
Come either Tuesday or Wednesday (24,25 June) the wife and I will depart Spicewood TX for Williams AZ. On Thursday we'll take the train to the Grand Canyon, then a bus tour of the South Rim, and the train back to Williams. Friday we will depart Williams for Truckee, flying the Grand Canyon on the way. Saturday and Sunday family reunion stuff. Monday fly-fishing the Truckee with Gilligan (I kid you not) my guide.
I've already plugged the Grand Canyon corridors into Foreflight.
Anyone know anything about getting from the Williams airport to town? Taxi? Sheriff? ??
How about getting from the Truckee airport to town? Courtesy car? Taxi?
How's the Truckee river doing? Enough water to fish?
Any other thoughts/suggestions?
Thanks.

I haven't been to Williams in 39 years. Is Mickey Mouse Flying Machines still there?

Truckee fishing had been good! Pm me. I have an extra car if you need. I can also show you Stampede res were the little Truckee comes in. You can land there very easily now.

Shoot! Wish I'd known you were flying through here. I have my husky based at Prescott right now, taking a break from the AUS summer.

Hey Chris. Landed Taos tonight, fishing tomorrow, then home Thursday. And thanks for flying the Texas STOL Roundup.
