That was awesome. I wonder how James won out on that one? You'd think they'd want Richard because he's so tiny.

Would have been cool if Vick had given the ride. :)

I missed out on giving the ride but I was there the week they filmed. I did get to spend some time in the squadron bar talking GA with James - he has a Citabria that he's been cutting his teeth on tailwheel ops with. He admitted that it had scared the crap out of him a few times but he was slowly getting the hang of it. The guy he flew with, Cabby, is an avid Cub pilot too.

BBC didn't set out to make a U-2 specific show originally - their visit was to get material that would be a part of a show on moon landings. They ended up getting so much good footage though they decided to break it up into two separate pieces - so keep an eye out for both.
