U84 Donnelly, ID

Anybody been to Donnelly lately. I want to go there next week and was wondering about conditions. All I know is that it is grass and am not sure how well it is maintained.

Re: U84 Donnelly, ID

I was in there recently...uhm, i mean 11 years ago. It was a very nice little grass strip. I know that's about as worthless as a PIREP can get, but I did take a grainy video so you can get an idea of the place (click on the video tab):

If you go there, please post an update on shortfield.com - a new video would be nice! :D

Flew over Donnelly June 21st. While I did not land, there were a number of planes landing there as a part of the McCall Canyon Flying Seminar. So I would assume the strip conditions are acceptable. Does not take long for the ground to dry out when clear skies prevail!
