Hell with bustin' balloons and cutting ribbons of toilet paper for fun. I'm gonna cut some truck tires in half, duct tape 'em to the leading edges of the wings and cowl, and get points for ramming drones. Should be great sport.

If somebody starts flying these things over me and mine9especially with a Go Pro), do you think I will need a 12 ga or would a .22 with birdshot do the trick?? [-X

Someone I know was doing some aerial depredation work when a UAV very nearly got mothered up to the Supercub. Shots were fired (in the name of human health & safety, of course) and he reported #4 buck can really mess up a drones day. FWIW.

Well if you live in Colorado, not only can you buy weed legally, you can get a hunting license for drones.

Re: UAV Drone Test Sites

At PDT the National Guard is flying drones now. The list has Alaska U as one of six sites but also list PDT as part of the site bases. There are notams issued when they fly here. Interesting to watch take off and more interesting to watch land. The taxiway B is their landing strip. Tower will notify if in pattern but that is about it. Very hard to see even with strobes on. Dull green and very small make a hard target find. Wish they where pink or red. The program here flys less than 4000 ft agl and less than 100 kts. It is the manned pilots who have to see and avoid. My aircraft fits the same flight envelope and I get to try to see and avoid. My tube and fabric E-LSA does not show up on radar well. The drone pilot does not see anything but down. So he is not looking for me. Hope I don't make a mess one of theses days with burning av gas, aluminum tubing and Dacron.
I would like to see more activity at my home airport. May effect my flying. May make my airport more costly to use. Will see.

"using dogs to chase turkeys..." the article says.

This dude should have used his dogs to chase these two turkeys.

He should have "accidentally" shot their drone down.
