They aren't that rare but I always wanted a Republic Seabee. Something about anchor storage under the seat and a front door to fish out of just sounds right to me!

The nicest Fairchild 24 I got to play with had a Jacobs 245 and a 2B-20 on it. That made a real airplane out of it! The Warners always sound like they have something caught in their throat...and often do. In order to make it look "right" ya gotta enlarge the firewall just a bit to fit a "bamboo bomber" cowl, but that's easy, since the firewall is a circle to start with. Sure makes a heck of an airplane out of it!
But that's not my favorite Fairchild by far........
