Upcoming flyins and stuff in the San Luis Valley

Just got a newsletter form the San Luis Valley Pilots Association. I'll post it here. They have some pretty good stuff, and feeds goin on. Some pretty good/fun local flying.

July 17 is their Air Show, and that's a fun day/evening.

Sun. Aug. 8 is the Del Norte b'fast flyin, at the home base of our own world famous flyinbeekeeper  Good feed and some cool planes to check out.

Sun Sept 9 B'fast flyin at Creede. It'll be cool in the mornin, but a great feed, and a fun time. Some real scenic nearby flying.

If you want to go up, pull back on the controls. If you want to go down, pull back farther.

Thanks for passing this along Gary.

I'll have to see which ones I can make. Any word on Morning Shadows, or if he's having another little fly-in?

I heard MS is the same day you've chosen for yours.

I looked at my calendar, I have Marble marked on 9/11, and Morning Shadows marked on 9/18...but your flyin beats that out, so I'll be at yours...plus it's closer to drive if I don't come up with a ride.

I'm flexible... I think we're going to plan on having our shindig on 10/1-10/2. Wx should still be comfortable and predictable then. Besides, I'm hoping to make Morning Shadows this year for some good camping.

I finally got in touch with Lionel Carpenter (owner of Mountain Shadows). He is excited about hosting another fly in. It will be Sept 18. I am pressed for time this am, so I will make an official post this eve.

Hey Buddy
You were up early. Good news on Lionel's. It's on my calendar. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help get it ready.

I have it on my calendar too. Planning on having to drive in this time, so I can haul in things if needed. I gotta figure out when Matt's is though too, I thought it was around the same time. Going to be hard to be at two places at once if it is...

Sounds like Matt is flexible. Now that he knows when Liionel's is, shld be able to work around it, and do both.

Also talked with Rod and may do a Cavefest at the CMR, maybe Oct. when everyone's dance card isn't quite so full, and it cools off over in UT a little.. See if there is any interest

Alright. Don't count me in for it, no plane to fly there and too far to drive. I'll be back to work then so I won't have all this free time.

So far I'm going to try to drive to Matt's, Marble, and Morning Shadows if I don't need to be at work.

Depends on what weekend, work schedule, and I'd have to find a ride...I'm not driving to that one.
